Hi,

 

My mother has been diagnosed with Shingles and the doctor said that  there is is dormant Chickenpox  come back in later years. any idea how this can be cured and what are the long term pain probability. Please share.

There is no cure for shingles but there will be a course of viral medicine...apart from that only painkillers will be given as this condition requires a great deal of pain management....please keep the patient isolated and use different set of clothes for the patient...not highly contagious but can spread if anybody comes in direct contact....it will go own its own in 15 days but the pain may last for longer duration...hope this helps...

it is a painful condition and the pain may subside after 15 days to 3 months...I hope your mother is fine as this pain becomes unbearable most of the times and causes a great deal of unrest for the patient....

She would be dealing with pain. I just hope everything will be fine.
