  • Are you a Doctor ?:No

Hi all,

just wanted to know what is covered in the insurance policy? I underwent a kidney stone procedure and it was cashless but the doctors prescribed a host of tests which I paid for and now wants to get reimbursed. Is this covered in insurance? although it is but the insurance company is saying that some of these test were not neccessary and thus refusing to pay.

Do you need to check with insurance policy or do you believe in doctor who is recommending the tests?

Dear lala,
Nobody can predict that how many tests will be done for kidney stone procedure.
There is no specific list of test which must be applied on every person. Althogh it depends on the types of stone you are suffering from, you can find more details www.belmarrahealth.com/faster-kidney-stones-disease-analysis-method-developed-using-raman-spectroscopy/

Hello lala,

In such case first consult with your doctor and then talk to your insurance company.

Well, Before you get into tests or hospital it is always necessary to contact you insurance provider and let them know about your treatment. Henceforth this would be helpful.
